Dr. Sultan Al Maskari, a luminary in the field of orthopedic surgery, holds the esteemed position of Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Head of Orthopaedics at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) in Oman. Renowned for his visionary leadership, Dr. Al Maskari founded the orthopaedic department at SQUH in 2008, marking a pivotal moment in the enhancement of orthopedic services. His earlier contributions include the establishment of the Limb Reconstruction Unit at Khoula Hospital in 2003.
Dr. Sultan Al Maskari plays a pivotal role in medical education and training. He has been a crucial member of the curriculum committee at the College of Medicine & Health Sciences at SQU. Notably, he served as the Deputy Chairman of the Accreditation Committee of the Oman Medical Specialties Board (OMSB) and held key positions in the education and research subcommittees of the OMSB orthopaedic program.
